A career coach for doctoral candidates, post-docs training to become future research project leaders, and a mentoring programme promoting women in science. These are but a few examples illustrating the various university initiatives designed to provide young researchers a career boost. Demonstrating best practices enables staff at different universities to gain ideas and learn from each other, while researchers receive career guidance.
