Think, dare, do

The Dutch research universities are institutions with a public task. They were established to enrich Dutch society by providing education, research and findings. The universities are committed to communicating clearly how they go about fulfilling their mission within society. The universities' activities and achievements in 2008 are set out in the annual reports they publish. In addition, this annual report of the VSNU describes the contribution that the fourteen research universities jointly made to the knowledge society in 2008.
