Students present research at Student Research Conference

Dutch and Flemish bachelor students (academic and vocational) are given the opportunity to present their research to a wide audience at the Student Research Conference.

The Student Research Conference will be held on October 14 and 15 at Leiden University and consists of presentations and plenary sessions given by undergraduate students.

How to submit a research proposal

Participation in the conference is on the basis of selection. A committee of professors is appointed to make a selection from the submissions. The students whose research projects are selected are invited to present their research in workshops and poster presentations at the conference. At the conclusion of the conference, the committee will select a winner from among the participants.

The criteria on the basis of which the research projects are assessed are quality and originality, as well as the societal relevance of the research and whether a proper scientific research design was used.

This means that a research plan should include:

1. the context of research (scientific or societal relevance)
2. the problem or question of the research
3. the research method(s)
4. the expected or initial results of the investigation

The research proposal should contain relevant references. Please also include a front page with the title of the research, the name of the investigator, the study programme, the university and the names of possible co-authors.

Please submit a research plan via Easychair:

1. Go to www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=src2010 and open an account
2. Log in
3. Go to New Submission
4. Fill in all fields
