The Eindhoven model of education combines classes, lectures and (supervised and self-reliant) self-tuition with design-oriented teamwork assignments, practical research and lab work, project learning, and apprenticeships and final projects in industry or university research groups. In this way TU/e provides its students with a sound scientific foundation and in-depth knowledge as well as the capacities needed to enable them to develop successful careers in a wide range of fields and functions within the community. All study programmes (on the BSc as well as on the MSc level) are research driven and design oriented. All students are encouraged to do a part of their study abroad. The numbers of international exchange students and international students are increasing.
