The university medical centres

There are eight university medical centres (UMCs) in the Netherlands, two of which are in Amsterdam and one each in Groningen, Maastricht, Nijmegen, Leiden, Rotterdam and Utrecht. The respective universities’ medical faculties are integrated into the UMCs. The UMCs are separate institutional entities with their own executive boards (raad van bestuur).
