ERC Advanced Grants for 16 Dutch researchers

16 researchers at Dutch research universities and institutes have recently been awarded a prestigious Advanced Grant of the European Research Council (ERC). The grants support excellent established researchers with pioneering research projects. The grants are worth up to 3.5 million euros and can last up to five years. With 16 grants, the Netherlands occupies an excellent fifth position, sharing a place in the top group with larger countries such as Germany and Great Britain. The Netherlands now has 81 researchers working on ERC projects.
